BBQ Party and Lecture Series III was held on Sunday July 22nd at 5 pm at IDC's Carlstadt Center. We were honored to host Bergen County Sheriff Leo McGuire as the speaker. After the enjoying the BBQ prepared by IDC volunteers, Sheriff McGuire delivered a wonderful and very informative speech on “Community and Police Partnership”. Questions and answers followed his speech.
BBQ Party and Lecture Series serve as a venue for interfaith-intercultural, non-political forums to exchange ideas and discuss vital issues that relate to New Jerseyans.
The series are intended to provide a regular setting designed to cultivate friendship and deepen inter-cultural awareness and understanding among the many diverse ethnic and civic communities in New Jersey. The speakers will share their viewpoints, perceptions and experiences on timely and important issues facing our local communities and our world.
