A Community Sings to a Listening God

E-mail Print PDF

There was a Abraham's Table Luncheon at College of Saint Elizabeth on Wednesday, July 7 at 12:45 pm.

psalmsJoin us for a time of instruction and reflection -- and some delicious Turkish food! -- as we examine the treasured place of the Psalms in each of the Abrahamic traditions.  The Psalms speak as both poetry and prayer -- prayers of praise, thanks, and petition; prayers of sorrow, lament, and even anger.  How can the Psalms serve as a lens for examing what we believe about our God and how we approach in prayer a God who is for us?

Home-made food and Turkish Coffee will be served. Q&A will follow the speeches.

RSVP to Angela Schmidt (973-290-4302 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). Please contact us by Friday July 2 so that we might make appropriate plans for food and space. A kosher lunch option is also available. Let us know that you would prefer this selection when you make your reservation.
