IDC is organizing these luncheons in cooperation with the Greater New Jersey Conference of the United Methodist Church, the Presbytery of the Palisades and the Interweave.
This fifth luncheon was on great Islamic scholar, judge, sufi and poet Mawlana Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi who is know as Rumi.

IDC Director Levent Koc made a presentation on Rumi. As Rumi has not been known in the West as a great Islamic scholar and reviver of his time, he introduced some basic concepts before he talked about Rumi’s life and Sufism.
Many clergy and lay people from the area who are interested in Rumi and spirituality attended the luncheon. Turkish food was served before the presentation as usual.
