IDC’s most recent intercultural-interfaith trip to Turkey took place between July 3rd and July 12. The group had opportunity to see historical sites as well as get to know the Turkish culture very closely. In addition to visiting religiously important sites like Hagia Sophia, Ephesus, House of Virgin Mary, underground city and carved chapels in Cappadocia, the group attended a whirling dervishes ceremony and enjoyed dinners with local families. The group also visited some private educational institutions in Turkey. The cities that were visited on the trip were Istanbul, Izmir, Konya, Cappadocia and Bursa.

Academics, educators, both Christian and Jewish Clergy and lay leaders are attending this trip.
