JOSEPHINE E. HERNANDEZ
President, New Jersey State Board of Education and
Vice President, Passaic County Community College


Josephine Hernandez was appointed to State Board of Education in 2004, representing Union County. She served as president of Middle States Association of College Registrars and Officers of Admission from 2003 to 2004. She also served as vice president of board of directors of YWCA in Eastern Union County. She is member, National Community College Hispanic Council.
Josephine Hernandez was featured on Univision Channel 41 during Women's History Month in 2004. She is recipient of Unsung Champion Award CASA Community Organization, 2003.
Josephine Hernandez holds a M.A., Rutgers University and earned B.A. at Inter American University, Magna Cum Laude

Josephine is proud parent of two children.
