As the IDC, we were shocked to hear the heinous terrorist attacks, which took place in Norway recently and would like to express our most heartfelt condolences to the victims and offer our deepest sympathy and prayers to their families and Norwegian people. We would also like to extend well wishes to the injured and wish them a speedy recovery.

We ask God Almighty to give all affected solace and hope in these difficult days.

We would like to stress that any terrorist activity, no matter who does it and for what purpose, is the greatest blow to peace, democracy and humanity. For this reason we never approve of terrorist activities. This last incident showed once again that terrorism has neither religion nor nationality. Terrorism and violent extremism should find no shelter or refuge in any ideology, political opinion or religion.

We must unite as one human race against terrorism, violent extremism and murderous ideologies to prevent these types of attacks from recurring in the future.

We also believe that 'dialogue' is one of the major medicines to overcome humanity's common ills. Our world's durability depends, to a great extent, on the promotion of dialogue. Establishment of dialog environments is a means to appreciate diverse opinions and eliminate the stereotypes often assigned to 'others'.

IDC is committed to advance diversity, pluralism and multiculturalism in the society and lead the way for a transcultural generation in the future.
