Christians and Muslims Celebrate Ramadan Together

Print

On Sunday, August 22nd, more than 50 Christians and Muslims gathered together at the Allwood Community Church to break the Ramadan fast with the traditional “iftar” dinner.

It was a wonderful evening of shared food, shared prayer, shared traditions, as well as shared stories. The Allwood Community Church and the Interfaith Dialog Center gathered together not as ‘strangers’ but as ‘Children of God’. These kinds of gatherings can stop the distance between religious communities, and bring them together for a better understanding. The greater community is invited to the next interfaith event on Sunday, November 21st at 6:00 pm. This will be a service of Thanksgiving in word and music, followed by fellowship time with coffee and dessert.
