IDC Awards Ceremony 2009
Annual IDC Award Ceremony will be held on May 31, 2009 at the Hilton Hotel in Parsippany, NJ. IDC helps to make New Jersey a stronger and more prosperous place by advancing the causes of peace, cross-cultural tolerance, and human dignity. We publicly recognize the outstanding achievements of those recipients who have distinguished themselves in their profession, community and service to humanity and New Jersey community.

Another Abraham’s Table Luncheon took place at Congregation B'nai Jeshurun, Short Hills, NJ on Tuesday February 10 at 12:00 noon. The theme of this luncheon was “Stereotypes about Your Religion”. Presenters made wonderful speeches and audience contributed to the discussion with questions.

IDC and the Turkish Cultural Center HUTACA organizedan Ashura Celebration on Sunday February 8, 2009 at 2.00 pm. Speakers made presentations on the significance of the events happened on Ashura Day such as landing of Noah’s Ark and Moses and his people’s crossing the Red Sea.

Caring for the Elderly
First Abraham’s Table Luncheon in the New Year took place at Caldwell United Methodist Church on Tuesday January 27 at 12:00 noon. The theme of this first luncheon was Caring for the Elderly: From Jewish, Muslim and Christian Perspectives. Some 120 people attended the luncheon.

Intercultural Trip to Turkey – Dec 28, 2008 - Jan 7, 2009
Most recent IDC intercultural trip to Turkey took place between December 28, 2008 and January 7, 2009. The group had opportunity to visit some schools, see many historical sites, have dinner with local families, etc. The cities that were included on the trip were Istanbul, Bursa, Izmir, Antalya, Konya and Cappadocia.
