Fellowship Thanksgiving Dinner and Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

photo 1Reformed Church of Highland Park hosted an Interfaith Thanksgiving Service on November 18th. Fellowship Thanksgiving Meal prepared by all participant organizations served before the Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. The food was a beautiful mosaic of cultures that gathered by over ten different local faith communities and cultural centers from all around the town and the county of Middlesex.

Interfaith Thanksgiving Service called Voices of Praise was a celebration of thankful words and songs from all faiths of Highland Park Community. Peace Islands’ associates Mr. Ayhan Cebe and Mrs. Yesim Acikel read some parts from Muslim holy book of Quran on Gratitude and interpreted the verses.

During the program participants also raised money for Hurricane Sandy Relief.

It was a wonderful evening creating an opportunity to foster community building and celebrate cultural diversity. We are thankful especially to Rev. Seth Kaper-Dale & Reformed Church and all participating organizations for making this program possible and building bridges between faith communities.
