
Peace Islands Institute aspires to facilitate a forum of mutual respect and collaboration, both welcoming and accepting varied viewpoints and voices with the intent to develop original and alternative perspectives on vital issues the our society if facing, generate solutions to these issues, support successful practices- thus promoting education, friendship, and harmony. Their goal is to act as an island of peace for all peoples in a society of different ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds.

On Friday, June 22nd, at Cipriani 42nd Street in Manhattan, “Peace Islands Institute” held its 5th Annual Friendship Dinner and Awards Ceremony event. The evening was co-organized by the Turkish Cultural Center of New York. At this prestigious transnational humanitarian event, as welcome guests dined, awards were presented for fine people who the PII believes foster intercultural harmony and peaceful social change- to the most passionate and professional degree. Intellectual and kindhearted guest speakers also added to the reassuring, socially enlightening discourse promoted by the Institute.

Bann Seng Tan, CUNY Julius Silver Professor of Politics- Young Scholars & Researchers Award
